Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

• What are the dimensions of the Bilum 7012?
  • Bilums are highly elastic by nature. While resting, it appears compact, but it expands significantly when filled to accommodate everyday items comfortably. [1]
• Is this product genuinely made in PNG?
  • Yes. Every bilum is 100% authentic and hand-woven by local artisans within Papua New Guinea.
• How should I wash and care for my wool bilum?
  • Hand wash gently in cold water using a mild wool detergent. Do not wring or tumble dry. Shape it back to its original form and dry it flat in the shade.
• Will the vibrant colours fade over time?
  • We use high-quality dyed wool designed to retain its brightness, though we recommend keeping it out of direct, harsh sunlight for extended periods when storing.
• Can the strap handle heavy loads?
  • Yes. The traditional weaving pattern distributes weight evenly across the strap, making it highly resilient for carrying daily loads.
