Water Pump Diesel Senci 2Inch

The Senci 2-inch diesel water pump is manufactured in two primary variants designed for agricultural irrigation, farm drainage, and water transfer. Both feature robust, open-frame cages, recoil starting mechanisms, and low-vibration engineering.
Comparison of the 2-Inch Models
The right variant depends on whether you require a standard high-flow transfer pump or a high-pressure, high-lift pump.

Key Applications

  • SCDWP50 (Standard): Ideal for rapid water transfer, draining flooded areas, and flat-land farm irrigation where high volume is needed over short vertical distances.
  • SCDHP50A (High-Lift): Designed for pushing water up steep inclines, operating overhead sprinklers, or long-distance water pipeline distribution.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

1. Do I need to prime the pump before starting it?

Yes. You must fill the pump chamber with clean water through the top priming plug before starting the engine. Running the pump dry will destroy the mechanical seals within minutes, causing permanent damage. Note that the suction hose must also be tightly sealed to hold this prime.

2. What type of fuel and oil should I use?

  • Fuel: Clean, standard automotive diesel. Never mix gasoline, kerosene, or alternative oils into the tank.
  • Engine Oil: High-quality 15W-40 or 10W-30 diesel grade engine oil. Change the oil after the first 20 hours of use (break-in period) and every 100 hours thereafter.

3. Can this pump handle muddy water or trash?

No. This is a clean-water pump. It can handle tiny particles up to a few millimeters, but pumping thick mud, pebbles, sewage, or heavy debris will clog the impeller and damage the internal housing. Always use the included plastic strainer basket at the end of your suction hose to filter out debris.

4. The engine is running, but why isn't it pumping any water?

This is usually caused by an air leak in the suction line. Check the following:
  • Ensure the pump chamber was fully primed with water.
  • Check the suction hose couplings; even a tiny pinhole or loose clamp will let air in and destroy the vacuum.
  • Ensure the suction lift does not exceed 8 vertical meters.
  • Make sure the intake strainer is completely submerged and not blocked.

5. Why is the diesel engine difficult to pull-start?

Diesel engines have much higher compression than gasoline engines. If the recoil is hard to pull:
  • Locate and press down the decompression lever (usually near the top valve cover) before pulling. It will automatically pop back up once the engine turns over.
  • Ensure the fuel line is clear of air bubbles. If the unit ran out of fuel completely, you may need to bleed the air out of the fuel injection line.
  • Ensure the engine oil level is correct; a low-oil sensor may prevent the engine from firing.

6. Can I run this pump indoors or in an enclosed area?

Absolutely not. Diesel exhaust contains deadly carbon monoxide gas, which is odorless and colorless. Only operate this pump outdoors in well-ventilated areas, at least 1 meter away from walls or structures.
