Does this item include the chainsaw engine or the bar?
No. The K 491.00 price is for the milling attachment frame only. You will need your own heavy-duty chainsaw (such as a 70cc to 90cc+ engine for optimal log cutting) and a compatible guide bar up to 36 inches.
Can this mill handle tough PNG hardwoods like Kwila or Taun?
Yes. The frame is constructed from high-tensile steel and aluminum to maintain stability. However, because PNG hardwoods are extremely dense, you must use a specialized ripping chain (sharpened to 10 degrees) rather than a standard crosscut chain to protect your chainsaw engine.
How do I transport this to a remote village block?
At a net weight of only 7.5 KGs, this mill is highly portable. It breaks down easily to fit inside a standard backpack, PMV, or small dinghy, making it perfect for processing timber directly where the tree falls.
