RAF Electric Steam Iron 1200W

RAF Electric Steam Iron 1200W

Product Description
The RAF R.2003 is an efficient and user-friendly household dry iron designed for reliable everyday garment care. Sporting a clean white and vibrant blue housing, the appliance features an advanced DuPont Teflon non-stick coated soleplate that prevents sensitive synthetic fabrics from scorching or burning. Built with Pro-Heat technology, it delivers quick, uniform heat distribution across its triangular precision tip. It provides smooth gliding behavior and fast crease removal without the maintenance hassle, dripping, or calcification associated with traditional steam chambers.
Key Factors (Design & Features)
  • DuPont Teflon Non-Stick Coating: The heavy-duty soleplate features a specialized Teflon coating layer to facilitate smooth, snag-free gliding over texturized fabrics.
  • Pro-Heat Distribution Element: Engineered to spread thermal energy uniformly across the bottom plate, eliminating localized cold zones for consistent fabric pressing.
  • Ergonomic Analogue Thermostat: A prominent mechanical rotary dial sitting directly under the handle permits swift temperature adaptation for distinct textile types.
  • 360-Degree Swivel Cord & Steady Heel Rest: Features a highly flexible power cable connection to minimize tangling and hand fatigue during long laundry sessions.
Key Benefits
  • Fast Start-Up Architecture: Driven by a high-efficiency 1200W engine, the plate reaches optimal operational heat thresholds within seconds for fast touch-ups.
  • Zero Water Leaks or Stains: As a dedicated dry iron, it operates entirely without a water tank, removing the risk of water spotting or mineral scaling on clean laundry.
  • Lightweight and Maneuverable: The balanced, aerodynamic structure reduces wrist fatigue, allowing easy manipulation around button paths, cuffs, and collars.
  • Versatile Fabric Safeguards: Smoothly handles everything from thick cotton and heavy linens down to delicate silks, synthetics, and fine wools without snagging.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
Q: Do I need to pour any water inside the iron before using it?
A: No. The RAF R.2003 is a dedicated dry iron, meaning it works solely using electric conductor plate heat. It does not contain an internal water reservoir or steam jets, eliminating any possibility of internal limescale buildup.
Q: What dial settings should I use for synthetic fabrics like polyester or nylon?
A: Synthetic fabrics are highly sensitive to extreme temperatures. You should turn the mechanical thermostat dial to its lowest settings (usually marked as "Low" or "Synthetics"). Allow the pilot light to cycle off—indicating the soleplate has safely settled at the targeted lower temperature ceiling—before you begin pressing the garment.
Q: How do I clean stuck-on starch or debris off the Teflon soleplate?
A: Ensure the iron is fully unplugged and completely cold. Wipe down the Teflon layer with a soft microfiber cloth slightly dampened with a mixture of water and mild dish soap. Never utilize steel wool, metallic scrapers, or harsh abrasive cleaning powders, as these will permanently scratch and degrade the non-stick properties of the Teflon coating.
